Dairy Tourism: A Local Marketing Perspective

Examples of niche tourism have emerged in parallel to the growing importance food destination management and marketing. this include mushroom tourism, tea or udon among others. This study analyzes one specialist forms tourism: dairy tourism. Dairy is leisure tourist practice that leads discovery production, transformation, commercialization processes milk derivatives. Specifically, objective research discuss relationships between local landscapes Catalan region Empordà, northeast Iberian Peninsula. Drawing on field visits interviews with seven regional producers, results describe mechanisms from a marketing perspective.
